Last months I barely spent time on KDE coding. This was due to an university software project which started in the end of January. It was C++, so I was quite OK with that. But the toolkit... we had to code our product in wxWidgets. *shrug* It's not fair to link from Planet KDE to my rant about wxWidgets somewhere on my site, so I won't do that. But I was very glad to do some Qt/KDE programming at last.
So the first thing I created was a little plasmoid, just to get back into 'our' style of programming. It's CommandWatch, which does nothing but shows shell command output in a customizable label. Quite straight forward, Qt/KDE/Plasma just make it incredibly easy and intuitive to create such thing.

To be found in our SVN playground: playground-base/plasma/applets/commandwatch .
I hope to do some more coding once my exams are over and returned from my holiday. Maybe I'll have enough time to scratch all my itches I still have with KDE 4.x.
Yay!
Welcome back to development, Bram!
Dang
Is that Bank Gothic? That's really nice to see in a Linux applet...
Very useful.
Wow, Bram, that's great!
Extremely simple idea but perfect for a plasmoid.
The plasmoid version of 'watch'. I will certainly use it!
