My previous post about closing all KDE bugs generated a lot of feedback, more than I expected. The poll tells us that 63% of the people would like that idea and 37% of the people thinks otherwise. So there seems to be more support for this (crazy, controversial) idea than I initially thought.
But to start with, let's wipe away some misinterpretations on the article:

At the time of this writing, we have 15210 open bugs and 13336 open wishes. The past week, 367 bugs were submitted and 294 bugs were closed, and this growth is to be seen every week. Unfortunately there's not enough manpower to cope with this. We need to find a solution or we'll drown in this bug swarm.
Feeling a bit tired on a dull Saturday evening made me grabbing some statistics from KDE Bugzilla. I wondered how many non issues get reported on average.
Some days ago I wrote a new article on the KDE Techbase which should help users to create good backtraces whenever they want to report a crash at bugs.kde.org.
Too bad we ran out of time last Sunday at the KDE Nieuwjaarsbijeenkomst. There was no time left to tell the attendees something about user support, one of the - in my opinion - underrated parts of KDE. So that's why I shout the following things at a slightly larger public: the Web.
